Long before modern printers made reproduction effortless, printmaking demanded patience, discipline, and years of experimentation. Techniques such as etching, woodcut, linocut, and screen printing required artists to master both craft and material. Their beauty lies in their limitations-each impression shaped by the maker’s hand, each edition finite. In an age of endless duplication, traditional printmaking reminds us that some things are valuable precisely because they cannot be endlessly reproduced.
