It’s All About Feel!
Nothing else matters if it doesn’t feel right. Design elements such as colors, shapes, patterns, effects, textures, and typography, when used correctly, can contribute greatly to that feeling one gets when first looking at a design. It only takes a few moments for the untrained eye to see something’s off with a design, a trained eye can see why, but a skilled designer can resolve it, create a design that conveys harmony, and purpose, all in one.

There’s a kind of magic in creating art from traditional medium such as charcoal, inks, paints, clay, and the list goes on. The tools and materials used in art are merely just that, tools and materials. Yet, In the hands of a skilled artist, these tools and materials can transform into a living and breathing manifestation of one’s imagination.
PRINTMAKING
The Ways of the Old Masters…
Before Inkjet and Laser Printers, it wasn’t so easy to make prints in the past. Some of the old techniques of printmaking required years of practice and experimentation in order to succeed at creating quality prints. Etching, Engraving, Aquatint, Woodcut, Linocut, and Screen Printing just to name a few. Due to the extreme difficulty of these techniques, those who were able to master it, created masterpieces unlike any other. The real beauty is in the limited quantities that were able to be made. Once an artist dialed in to their desired results, only a hand full of perfect prints could be made before the material dulled, lost detail, and weakened.
