My field of expertise is in Mechanical Engineering, from both Military Service, and as a Civilian. However, i’ve always expressed myself creatively, ever since I was able to pick up a pencil. Don’t believe me? Ask my Mom. She’ll tell you how many times she had to clean the walls from my “Impulsive, Artistic, Creative Episodes”.

From Stick Figure Drawings as a kid, Comic Book Illustrations as a teen, to now a Graphic Designer, Traditional Fine artist, and a Printmaker. It took a long time to build up the courage to embark on an Art Career, in the hopes of becoming a professional in the field. For those Creative Souls out there, I’m sure you’ve heard these words before, “that’s great as a hobby, but a career? I don’t know.”, or “that’s not a real job! ”, or even, “there’s no money in that. Pick something with benefits and a retirement plan instead.” as if we get to do this “Life ” thing more than once.

My Advice…

Do what makes you excited to get up in the morning, restless to go to sleep, because you’re obsessed with this thing you just can’t get out of your head. I promise you, if it doesn’t work out… there are plenty of “Safe ” jobs to choose from. As for me, regardless of the level of success i’m able to achieve in this life, I’ll still be somewhere in the world covered in paint, or tirelessly creating artwork until I hear the 21 gun salute!
