ABOUT me
Hi! My name is Niko-A U.S. Navy Veteran, Designer, Artist, and Printmaker.
Well… not exactly.
Professionally, my background is in Mechanical Engineering, both through Military Service and Civilian Work. However, Creativity has always been there. Ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I’ve had an urge to make things. Don’t believe me? Ask my Mom. She’ll tell you how many times she had to scrub my, “Impulsive Artistic Episodes” off the walls.
From Stick Figures as a kid to Comic Book Illustrations as a teen, creating has never been something I chose-it has simply been part of who I am.
For a long time, art existed alongside the practical path. I heard the same things many creative people hear:
“That’s great hobby, but a career?”
“That’s not a real job.”
“There’s no money in that. Choose something safe with benefits and a retirement plan.”
So I did what many of us do. I pursued stability, built a career, and carried on creating whenever I could. Eventually, I realized something important: Life doesn’t hand out extra chances to become the person you’ve always wanted to be.
Today…
My practice spans Graphic Design, Fine Art, and Printmaking. Guided by a spirit of experimentation and craftsmanship, I create work meant to be experienced, worn, collected, and shared.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
Do the thing that makes you excited to wake up in the morning and restless to go to sleep because you can’t stop thinking about it. Chase the idea that won’t leave you alone. If it doesn’t work out… there will always be “Safe” jobs waiting for you.
As for me, regardless of the level of success I achieve in this life, you’ll still find me somewhere in the world covered in paint, ink on my hands, and tirelessly creating things until I hear the 21-gun salute!
Thank You!
Whether you’re her to Collect, Collaborate, or simply Explore, Thank You for taking the time to connect with my work. I hope it Inspires you to slow down, notice the details, and make room for the things that make you feel Alive.
